Tension Force Indicator

Show the pre-tensioning force achieved

With the TFI you can read off the pre-tensioning forces achieved in the lashing system when tying down loads and use this information in load control calculations.

...

Self-locking ratchet lever

Prevents unintetional opening

The ratchet opening during transportation is thus effectively ruled out - eben when the load is exposed to strong vibrations and shaking.

...

Extended Ratchet Lever

Better power transmission and more ergonomic

The extended lever not only allows the user to achieve increased pre-tensioning forces can be achieved with markedly less muscle power.

...

Epoxy resin coating

Maximum ratchet protection

Ratchets are first zinc-plated, then chrome-plated and coated with a shock-resistant epoxy resin coat which additionally protects the ratchets from e.g. rust.

...

Precision strap

Low elasticity of the strap

Less stretch maintains more tension and reduces the need for tension readjustment.

TFI at adjustable end

When it comes to the pre-tensioning forces in your lashing strap systems, you need to make some careful calculations. According to DIN EN 12195-1:2004 you may usually only take 50% of the pre-tensioning force of the fixed end into account for the STF value of the fixed end and for the adjustable end. However, if you can prove that a higher pre-tensioning force is attained, you may take the actual force measured into account. This means, for example, that if you prove there are forces of 750 daN at both the adjustable end and the fixed end, you can incorporate this 1,500 daN of pre-tensioning force into your calculation. This is also enabled by our unique aid, the TFI, which can also be used at the adjustable end. By means of a special adaptor , the TFI can be integrated with all current end fittings. In addition, SpanSet has specially designed a delta hook to which the TFI can easily be attached. This results in an additional cost saving. When using the TFI, the STF that can be proven is significantly higher than that indicated on the label. This means that you save money when loading and unloading, as you need less lashing equipment.
