Gear wheels, sharp-edged bores or empfindable surfaces - when lifting machine parts, there are always situations that can only be inadequately solved with conventional edge protectors and protective hoses.

Textile slings cannot always be used

The wire ropes or chains that are then used press on the load with extremely high pressure. Damage to the expensive and elaborately machined workpieces is often unavoidable and the edges have to be expensively reworked. Experienced users know the problem and try to improvise a solution. Edge protection with existing plaster blankets or old rubber mats is of course not state of the art and therefore unsuitable. The secuPads are DIN A4 in size and are simply placed by hand at the critical points. They are made of several layers of fabric connected all around and adapt very flexibly to even difficult contours. The thickness of the secuPads is approx. 20 mm, the surface is protected against abrasion and the penetration of chips and lubricants by the proven Powerflex coating. With textile slings, double protection against cutting in is required, here the secuPads must always be used together with secutex protective sleeves.
