Gotcha Suspension Loop
A rescue aid to help alleviate the effects of ‘post fall harness suspension’ whilst the casualty awaits recovery.
- Only work for persons suspended in a full body harness, less than 4m from their anchorage (maximum deployment of a fall arrest lanyard).
- Tested statically to prove the Minimum Break Strength of 160kg.
- Team of workers Carry one and hang it up at the workplace where it will provide cover for all of them.
Alternatively on major sites it can be located next to similar emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers or first aid equipment so that it can provide cover for all workers in that area.
Use case:
- Loop is first attached to the anchorage that the casualty is suspended from.
- Loop is then deployed from the bag and dropped down to the casualty.
- Webbing is then adjusted so that the casualty can stand in the loop to relieve the pressure from their harness and move their legs.
