To have staff who have worked with you for over 25 years is special – at SpanSet, we want to recognise this and offer a lunch for the entire staff to celebrate when someone has worked with us for 25 years.
Last week was extra special as we all got together to celebrate 100+ years of combined service for four members of staff:
- Caroline Taylor (Machinist)
- Geoff Peach (Goods In Operative)
- Pete Ward (Managing Director)
- Ruth Halsall (Material Handling Supervisor)
On the menu was HotPot or Chilli. Pete Ward loves a coffee and piece of cake so decided to offer the same to everyone by providing a range of delicious cakes served with organic coffee.
As the inventor of Gotcha, we couldn’t let Pete’s celebration pass without giving him a Gold Gotcha Rescue kit and a 3d printed egg containing the SpanSet ‘wee man’ Pete designed.
…and soon we do it all again as another member of staff, Matt Parker celebrates 25 years with Burger and chips for All!
I never thought I would have had one job for 25 years, let alone lead a team as good as this.
I’d worked in a few different sectors previously, but none had really grabbed me. My time at SpanSet however has flown by and I still find the potential fascinating.
I just love the concept that training gives us direct access to those who use our products.
It just seems like the best way for everyone, we get great feedback and our customers get the most from their equipment.
Hopefully we have made a difference to people’s safety, I am certainly proud to have spent the last 25 years working to keep people safe.
