Supporting North West Blood Bikes
website - nwbb-lancs.org
North West Blood Bike riders provide a voluntary service transporting urgently required medical items between NHS hospitals.
If it can be carried by motorcycle and is required urgently out of hours, on weekends or bank holidays then NWBB volunteers are there to help.
This fabulous service was established in 2012 and completes over 1000 call outs a month. Each call out saves local NHS transport costs, so more funds are available for patient care.
Some years ago, NWBB decided to issue all riders with a dedicated set of load straps made and certified to internationally recognised standards of quality and safety. SpanSet UK were the chosen supplier at the time.
Earlier this year, it was time to replenish stocks and SpanSet were delighted to provide the straps free of charge.
Justin Evans and Lisa Cagna even delivered the straps in person giving them the opportunity to meet the NWBB Committee and get up close and personal with the liveried bikes.
‘A great morning meeting the Team at North West Blood Bikes and handing over the 300 Cam Buckle Restraining Straps. This gives NWBB the peace of mind that when they are transporting lifesaving shipments, these valuable loads will still be safely attached to their bikes upon arrival. NWBB is an excellent charity, and we are proud to support them’. Justin Evans - Sales Account Manager
