Good Luck, Pete on your journey to the top!

Pete Passmore, Lead Development/Design Engineer at SpanSet is scaling Mont Blanc to raise funds for Mountain Rescue and Combat Stress.

About Pete:

At SpanSet, Pete’s responsible for taking ideas from both customers and in house and working them through to a finished product.

‘I really enjoy working collaboratively with different people across the business, particularly fleshing out ideas and bringing those ideas through to a completed product.  As a Mechanical Engineer I love the design process itself and find it fascinating’.

Pete’s hobbies include cycling, running, skiing, golf, hiking, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, sketching and painting and he also plays the guitar.  Pete likes to combine his love of running with fundraising for charities and has run the Manchester marathon to raise money for the Christie.

This year, Pete is adding a new hobby to his list – climbing! – and once again plans to combine this with raising funds for charity.

In June, Pete together with 4 friends—Jordan, Scott, Matt and Anthony — are embarking on an extraordinary adventure to conquer Mont Blanc. The mission is twofold: to challenge themselves and, more importantly, to raise vital funds for Mountain Rescue England & Wales and Combat Stress.

The Goal:

The friends aim to raise £5,000, a goal as ambitious as the climb, to support the incredible work of Mountain Rescue England & Wales and Combat Stress. These organisations play a crucial role in rescue operations and in supporting the mental health of veterans, respectively.
