Throughout 2019 we were delighted to welcome a wide range of industry professionals to our Headquarters in Middlewich. Our ever-popular Technical Days were attended by customers old and new together with those wanting to learn more about SpanSet’s latest innovations and training techniques in our core sectors of Height Safety, Lifting and Load Control.

March 2019 – Watch Out Below! Maintaining a safe arrest distance in low clearance environments.

This Technical Day was of relevance to those with a specific interest in Working at Height with harnesses with low fall clearance, Confined Space Access and Safe work when loading vehicles.

Of particular interest were self-retracting lifelines and the introduction of the new hybrid technology leading to a significant increase in worker safety.

May 2019 - Keeping your feet on the Ground! Loading and Unloading Vehicles – Creating a Safe Environment.

Health & Safety professionals joined the SpanSet Technical Team for an afternoon of practical demonstrations, expert advice, learning and networking.

Falls from vehicles are the 4th highest category of fatal accidents involving falls from height. SpanSet offer many solutions to this problem which were demonstrated at this event, including -

July 2019 - Solutions for the Construction Industry.

One of a series of free partnership events as part of the Working Well Together construction industry health and safety initiative – ‘run by the industry for the industry’

A Technical Day where a wide range of demonstrations by the SpanSet Team made great use of many of our purpose built Training and Testing facilities.

Demonstrating our 50 tonne Horizontal Test Bed. This facility enables SpanSet to test material strength before production and the integrity of equipment once manufactured. It also means, at SpanSet we know because we can proved it.

Emergency Planning for high level structures - Emergency evacuation and first repsonse rescue for high level structures such as tower cranes.

September 2019 - The Proof is in the pudding!

The final technical day of 2019 was combined with our 50th Anniversary, where we celebrated the knowledge and experience we have gained along our 50 year journey and how this can be used to the benefit of our customers in the future.

2020 - A comprehensive range of Free Technical Days are planned for 2020!

May - Load Control - Moving the load securely and to its destination using a combination of lifting and/or transportation whilst protecting the workforce.
July - A Taste of the High Life! An insight on how it feels to work at height.
