Changes from CE to UKCA marks – do SpanSet products conform to the new legislation? Yes!
One potential problem for our customers already solved.

The familiar CE mark is a certification stamp indicating conformity with EU health, safety, and environmental protection standards. Following the UK’s departure from the EU, the CE mark will no longer be recognised as valid on goods sold in the UK after 1st January 2023.
‘Businesses must prepare for the end of recognition of the CE mark in GB and affix the UK marking using a UK-recognised ‘approved body’. Our intention is to end recognition of the CE mark by 1 January 2023’. Gov.uk
The UKCA mark is the replacement for CE marking in Great Britain.
Manufacturers of a wide variety of products will need to carry out mandatory third-party conformity assessments and apply the replacement marks.
SpanSet have been working hard over the past months to ensure the extensive range of Work at Height, Lifting and Load Control equipment we design, manufacture and supply in the UK complies with the new legislation.
We are pleased to announce all relevant SpanSet products have been independently assessed by a ‘UK Approved Body’ and will soon carry the new UKCA mark.
"Our customers trust us to supply products of the highest quality and which of course conform to all relevant legislation. By ensuring all of our products are approved and marked with the new UKCA marks in good time for the 2023 deadline our customers can remain confident in the products we supply". Rob Hinton, Height Safety Product Manager.
