Introducing Guardian – Load Restraint System

 

SpanSet Guardian is a patented, DVSA compliant transit restraint system comprising of three key elements:

  1. Two retrofitable wire rope catenaries, secured parallel to one another down the length of the vehicle to suspend the main Guardian straps
  2. Smaller control straps to raise and lower the main Guardian straps into position above a pallet. Fitted with beads the control straps pass through a snaketooth locking mechanism which holds the Guardian strap in the roof when not in use.
  3. 5t Guardian load restraint straps fitted at one end with two rave hooks (to compensate for alternative height pallets) and a removable ratchet strap at the other end for securing the load in place

The regulating body DVSA (driver and vehicle standards agency) have announced their intention to step up enforcement of current legislation in respect of load restraint on Large Goods Vehicles. Particular attention has been noted in regard to curtain sided vehicles which they are aware tend not to comply with regulations
