What name/nickname do you prefer to be called?

I’m known as Karen or Kaz. 

If you could write your own job title that best describes what you do here, what would it be?

My job title is Customer Support and it does best describe what I do.  My responsibility is to take customers orders and to answer any enquiries.  Questions can be about SpanSet’s wide variety of products and services and if I don’t know the answer, I can ask one of the many technical experts here who will.  It’s important we provide customers with all the information required to help them choose the right product for their needs. 

What do you enjoy about the work you do? 

Working to challenging deadlines, ensuring the orders are processed quickly and the product reaches the client on time. I also enjoy working for a manufacturer.  It’s great being able to see equipment being made in our factory – I’ve even volunteered to test some of our safety products which involved climbing one of the training structures - something I regretted half way up, though I did really enjoy zip wiring back down! 

What are your hobbies? 

I love being outdoors, whether it’s gardening or spending my weekends at my caravan in the Welsh countryside. I particularly like to go for walks with my daughter, exploring the local waterfalls, castles and beaches.  

What volunteering or passion projects do you do outside of work? 

My Dad passed away last year so I care for my elderly Mum. Doing her shopping, working full time and looking after my family takes up most of my time, however I am passionate about my garden and have recently finished my garden project which includes a hot tub and a garden bar 😊
