'My first hole in 2 on a par 5! Something I love to tell every golfer about!'

What name/nickname do you prefer to be called?

I am known in the office as Vinny which is short for my full name, most of my friends call me Vin. I’ll respond to either or both, ha ha.  

If you could write your own job title that best describes what you do here, what would it be?

I’d make one change to my official title. I’d change it from Marketing Manager to Marketing Leader. I have a great team behind me which I lead rather than manage. This extends to others at SpanSet who come to me with challenges which marketing can solve. Of course this all needs managing to run smoothly but I feel that I lead the way with a great team behind me. 

What are your hobbies? 

I will try my hand at most sports and grew up playing a lot of football, golf and tennis as well as practising Ju Jit Su. Recently (during the lockdowns) I am enjoying mountain biking and keeping fit at the gym or home, lifting weights and boxing. I am a social person so enjoy anything involving team work – as long as I can be leader of course, ha ha. 

What do you enjoy about the work you do? 

I am one of those strange people who loves their job, marketing is one of my life’s passions. It’s great as no day is the same; Monday could be a photo/video shoot, Tuesday could be website management/analysis and Wednesday could be social media lead generation for example. The variety of projects we work on with various internal and external partners keeps my mind sharp and me on my toes, which I like! It’s also very satisfying to be at the forefront of promoting and advocating such a strong brand at SpanSet with great heritage and products and services to match.  

What volunteering or passion projects do you do outside of work?

I help a few friends who are personal trainers with their social media pages and volunteer at the local food bank every holiday – Christmas, Easter and bank holidays. I naturally enjoy helping others so both of these things give me great satisfaction and alongside playing sport, they also keep me busy outside of work which I like!
