Meet the Team - Rachael Hazeldine
Business Development Manager
What name/nickname do you prefer to be called?
I don’t really have a nickname but usually get called Rach unless I am in trouble 😊
If you could write your own job title that best describes what you do here, what would it be?
I’ve worked at SpanSet for over 15 years. I started in the customer service department then moved on to the training department where I further progressed to Services Supervisor, looking after the training, installation and inspection diaries.
This experience has given me a good knowledge and understanding of products and processes within the business which I am drawing upon in my new role as Business Development Manager.
My focus is now on ensuring our current customers are happy and well looked after. I am also introducing new customers to SpanSet, making sure we are providing the best training, products and services to suit their needs. We have a great offering here at SpanSet and I’m really enjoying spreading the word!
If a customer has a problem, I want to be the one with the solution.
What do you enjoy about the work you do?
There is always something different to get stuck into and the day goes by so fast.
I get to speak to all types of people in a wide range of industries which means no day is ever the same and I get to hear interesting stories about the work they do.
I enjoy building great relationships with our customers and being able to help resolve any issues they have.
What are your hobbies?
I enjoy keeping fit so running, swimming and yoga are all part of my routine along, in between running around after my 2 young children 😊
Having a young family now means I don’t get to do anything too adventurous at the minute, but we are lucky to live close to the canal and lots of countryside so get out most weekends on walks and bike rides.
Family and friends are very important to me so enjoying spending time with them and we often enjoy family holidays abroad.
What volunteering or passion projects do you do outside of work?
I have completed a number of 5k runs, the colour runs are always fun to do 😊
I also completed a tandem skydive from 10,000 feet raising £2.5k for Mencap.
