Meet The Team

Trevor Metcalfe - Training Instructor

What name/nickname do you prefer to be called?

I prefer to be called Trevor but don’t mind Trev. I also enjoy being called Dad by my daughter.

If you could write your own job title that best describes what you do here, what would it be?

Work at Height and Rescue Instructor

What do you enjoy about the work you do?

I really enjoy the varied nature of the job, especially the different industries and different people I work with. I also enjoy training candidates on their sites making it a “real life situation” - it’s more relevant to them and makes me think on my feet.

What are your hobbies?

My main hobby is to be a taxi for my daughter!  When I’m not running her around, I enjoy a game of golf.  Football is another hobby I love - going to watch my daughter playing or watching my team (Spurs) on the telly and occasionally going with my brother to watch his team (Ipswich Town). My wife has an allotment which I help with - my favourite part of the allotment is growing hot chillies and then making chilli sauce with the fruit. I also enjoy travelling and trying the variety of food in different countries.

What volunteering or passion projects do you do outside of work?

I have twice taken part in the Macmillan Golf challenge which is to play 4 rounds in a single day -believe me, it is harder than it sounds! I have also completed the Macmillan Triathlon. Now because of all the working away I do during the week I simply enjoy spending time with my family.
