Radio Frequency Awareness Training

PRE-COURSE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

TRAINING AIMS

Our theory based course is designed to provide candidates with the following knowledge.

  • Awareness of the hazards associated with working near radio frequency and how to recognise restricted areas.
  • How to reduce/prevent exposure to sources of electromagnetic radiation and the potential effects on the human body.
  • An overview of monitoring/measuring equipment.

  • Samples of personal monitors
COURSE SYLLABUS
  • How electromagnetic fields are generated.
  • The potential effects of over exposure on the human body.
  • Sources of electromagnetic fields.
  • The requirements of the EMF directive.
  • Overview of monitors and dosimeter.
  • The national register of RF workers

 

 

 

 
PRE-COURSE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Delegates must be 18 years and over.
  • SpanSet reserves the right to exclude unsuitable delegates from training courses.
Certification

On successful completion candidates will receive a certificate valid for three years.
