SpanSet, Inc.

SpanSet, Inc. was established in Sanford, North Carolina in 1980. SpanSet quickly became recognized as an authority in the production of webbing used in the manufacturing processes of flat webslings, roundslings, cargo control and fall protection products. Continuing our commitment to customer service in 2009, we added a Training Center to further educate our customers in the safe use of our wide range of products.

Over the past 32 years, we have faced some hurdles with fire destroying forty percent of our offices in the 1990's and on April 16th, 2011 a high end E3 tornado destroyed local homes, industrial buildings, and for us, our offices and one manufacturing plant. Thankfully, we were closed when the tornado struck, sparing us any human casualties.

We completed the rebuild of our corporate office and manufacturing plant on the same SpanSet historical site on Industrial Drive.

We are extremely proud of our new facility, which is why you will notice many of the images throughout our fall protection catalog, (including the front cover) were taken during the construction phase of our new buildings.

Lifting Slings

Our Lifting products are aimed at improving safety in all work places and are used in the most brutal environments. SpanSet continues to be specified by industry and military forces around the world. 

SpanSet developed the first roundslings to be manufactured in North America. The industry still refers to all roundslings as "SpanSets"!

Fall Protection

SpanSet’s vast experience in webbing based products provided the perfect background for the development of the innovative range of Fall Protection equipment, including the patented Horizontal Safety Line and the Gotcha Range of Rescue Equipment. We offer specialist harness and lanyard combinations for all levels of industry.

Training

Based upon our commitment to quality, it is SpanSet’s aim to provide training and support for our extensive product range and techniques. SpanSet’s training courses provide the client with knowledge of equipment and techniques, allowing them to operate safely in designated environments.

Training modules are available to suit most industries. The Police, Emergency Services and the Military are catered for with modules specifically designed for their requirements. The modular course content is simple to understand. More complex courses can be created by combining standard modules and we are able to offer a greater opportunity for tailor making courses to a client’s specific needs.

Our custom built training facility contains the resources to recreate a broad range of operational environments specific to each client requirement and appropriate working method. SpanSet safety training courses ensure that trainees can learn in safety with carefully controlled conditions and expert tuition. Alternatively, we are pleased to provide training at your company or site, subject to suitability, including offshore installations.
