Learning During Lockdown!
The SpanSet Training Department has learnt a lot over the past weeks about how to adapt and run Training courses safely within Government guidelines.
We have remained open for business throughout this difficult time of social distancing and provided the Training support our customers require.
How can SpanSet pass on our learning and help you train your staff?

WHY WE ARE OPEN
As SpanSet supply PPE, Safety Critical Training for Work at Height and Safety Products we have been identified as a key partner in enabling category 2 responders under the Civil Contingencies Act to maintain their operational capabilities. Our contracts include Power Distribution Companies, telecommunications and broadcast services, Environment Agency, Ministry of Defence and the Emergency Services.
We have had to provide commitment to these organisations for continuity of supply and have therefore been OPEN FOR BUSINESS throughout Lockdown. SpanSet have a strong Safety Culture – therefore adjusting the way we do business, following Government guidelines on social distancing and complying with legislation has come naturally to us.
Keeping our staff and customers safe is what we do – always.
SpanSet – requested to stay operational by the MOD and supporting the British Military with essential safety products and technical advice.
INNOVATION
SpanSet now offer Online Training
The SpanSet Team has worked very hard to create instructor-led online sessions that are as engaging and informative as if you’re actually sat in the classroom.
Delegates are encouraged to ask questions. (Recent on-line training course held at a client's premises).
Due to the popularity of our new online Training courses, more will be added in the coming weeks - for example ‘Management of Work at Height’ and ‘Safe Lifting and Slinging Theory’.
Now is an ideal time to use SpanSet for your Training needs!
- Our online courses are LIVE with enthusiastic, fully qualified Instructors – Delegates are encouraged to ask questions and the courses are very much Instructor led. No voice overs of a powerpoint at SpanSet!
- Furloughed staff are allowed to train
- Booking an online course is straight forward – simply book online or contact our customer services team who will be happy to help!
“SpanSet’s approach to delivering training & to supporting our customers during these turbulent times has been well received.
With the introduction of our Online instructor led Work at Height training courses, our customers can rest assured staff will maintain their competency for critical work at height whilst ensuring they respect the Government’s guidance on social distancing.
What we’ve developed, through the online instructor led courses is a platform delegates can use to gain important knowledge, whilst having the ability to pose questions and draw on the instructors experiences. This keeps the course as engaging as if you were actually sat in the classroom.
We're proud of our latest innovation and look forward to running many more online courses in the future" Sam Wilkinson, SpanSet Training Manager
