IS IT SAFE TO CONNECT 2 WEBBING SLINGS?

In lifting operations, we often face situations where the webbing sling or round sling we are using is not long enough for a particular load. Many people take a shortcut by tying two webbing slings or round slings together to extend their length.

DO NOT DO THIS! IT IS NOT SAFE!

Any type of sling (webbing sling, round sling, wire rope, chain) SHOULD NOT BE KNOTTED! Tying a knot in the sling will cause the knotted parts to cut into each other and cause damage, which can eventually result in a fatal accident.

USE A JOKER HOOK. ONE TOOL WITH TWO FUNCTIONS

Safely connect, extend at will

With a Joker Hook, you can quickly transform a Webbing Sling or Round Sling into a multi-leg lifting tool (leg sling). Just hook it, twist, and you're done. The forged safety hook ensures easy handling and effectively prevents the sling from slipping off the hook when the load is placed on the floor – an added value for your safety. You do not need any other tools to attach the Webbing Sling/Round Sling to the Joker Hook.

The Joker Hook can also be used as a connecting connector, for example, to join two lengths of round slings together – allowing you to create a longer sling when needed. For your safety and convenience, the Joker Hook is designed for safe use with Webbing Slings and Round Slings – it has lifting capacity, color codes, and complies with EN1492 standards.

Purpose: Easy to use safely and reliably.

Note: Lifting operations are high-risk activities. You must have the competence or be under the supervision of a Lifting Competent Person to perform them.
