TKBT and TKPK Training: Enhance Your Knowledge About Heights!

As we all know, working at heights falls into the category of high-risk jobs. As workers, we must know and have knowledge of how to prevent the dangers that may occur before engaging in tasks at heights, as mandated by our government regulations.

What can be done? Surely, having knowledge about heights itself, such as participating in TKBT (High Building Workers) or TKPK (Working at Heights) training, depending on the nature of your work as a SpanSet friend. Does your workplace have accessible areas, or is it limited to using ropes to reach the work area?

What's the Difference Between TKBT and TKPK?

Before delving further into TKBT and TKPK training, SpanSet friends must first understand the difference between them. Basically, both involve working at heights with different vertical access. TKBT refers to workers who work using platforms or have access to their work area, such as working on scaffolding. Meanwhile, TKPK refers to workers who work at heights without access to their work area or only use ropes to reach the work area (hanging using ropes).

How is TKBT Training Divided?

After understanding the fundamental difference between TKBT and TKPK, SpanSet friends will know which training is suitable for their current job. For SpanSet friends working as building cleaners using gondolas, construction workers, or communication tower workers, who have access to work, participating in TKBT training is crucial. However, it's worth noting that TKBT training is divided into two levels:

  • TKBT 1
  • TKBT 2
