General Introduction to Webbing Sling
A Webbing Sling is a lifting strap made from high-performance polyester fiber material. It is designed to lift heavy loads that are either flat or round in shape. There are two main types of Webbing Slings: eye-to-eye, which have eyes at each end, and round slings, which are circular in shape.
Webbing slings are used by attaching them to a load before lifting or pulling. They are also commonly referred to as lifting slings. Today, Webbing Slings are available in various shapes and models that can be tailored to their specific use.

Advantages of SpanSet Webbing Sling
- Wide surface area for maximum gripping power on loads. All SpanSet Webbing Slings are made from polyester material with a tightly woven structure, providing optimal gripping power on lifted loads. This is because the wider surface area of the Webbing Sling reduces pressure. The width of SpanSet Webbing Slings can be adjusted according to the requirements for lifting loads that are sensitive to pressure, such as paper rolls.
- Extra durability against wear. A transparent PU layer can triple the abrasion resistance of a Webbing Sling, extending its lifespan. SpanSet Webbing Slings feature anti-abrasion protectors on the edges made from black polyester thread twists. These edge protectors offer special protection against damage to the weaving threads at the edge of the sling, which is a common occurrence.
- Additional reinforcement on the sling eyes. The eye of a Webbing Sling is subjected to heavy loads during lifting, suspending, or releasing, leading to wear and tear on the sling's eye layers. Pulling the sling from underneath a load can cause abrasion on the surface of the sling eye, which directly interacts with the load or surrounding objects. To address this, we provide comprehensive reinforcement on the eye of the Webbing Sling, using high-quality materials and a strong layered structure, resulting in slings that are highly resistant to abrasion.
- Flexible usage. SpanSet Webbing Slings are often used with basket lift and choker lift methods to utilize double lifting capacity. Additionally, the choker lift method is commonly used to prevent loads from slipping. With SpanSet Webbing Slings, both basket lift and choker lift methods can be easily performed. We provide additional connectors in the form of C and D shapes, tailored to the width of the Webbing Sling, to reduce wear. Simply attach, hang, and the load is securely locked. The connectors fit perfectly and optimally onto hooks. We also offer SpanSet Protective Sleeves to provide protection against abrasion and sharp angles.
- Identification labels and RFID transponders. Each SpanSet Webbing Sling comes with an identification label containing technical specifications and the sling's identity. If this label is lost or illegible, the Webbing Sling should not be used until repaired by competent personnel. SpanSet has introduced new and improved identification labels on its Webbing Sling products. These new labels are protected by a transparent shield that safeguards the information while remaining easily readable. Additionally, the identification labels are made from reinforced special fiber material, making them resistant to tearing or breaking. SpanSet also utilizes RFID transponders on Webbing Slings for electronic identification and documentation. The use of RFID transponders speeds up and simplifies the electronic identification and documentation of Webbing Slings, saving time during inspections.
- Sewn lifting capacity markings on the Webbing Sling. To ensure quick and safe completion of tasks, SpanSet Webbing Slings are equipped with sewn lifting capacity markings on the straps. These markings will not be erased and can be easily read even when dirty.
